Cuddly weekend

Hope every one is having a good weekend so far, my son and I have been cuddling up allot on the couch and chaise because I have been under the weather. But we have managed to get a few things done. I really do love that every morning after we have our juice we go outside and water the plants and we don't have to soak them since it has stopped being over ninety degrees every day.

Friday we took two mason jars that were laying around up in a cubbard in the kitchen and spray painted the inside of them (well, more I did since I had him stand up on the porch away from the fumes). I am going to use one for my crafting tools that I use the most and end up lying on my desk anyway and the other for maybe some flowers. I got the idea here and here.

I am working more on my sons blanket I am crocheting him but it is the largest crocheting project I have made thus far and its getting a little tedious so this morning I have started to make a pair of crochet ballet slippers so that when I pick up my crochet basket I don't feel so much like whining because I'm only working on the same ol' project. I do hope that I'm not the only one to feel that way!

Also yesterday we got a nice surprise in the mail. My cousin in Texas had sent my son and I a package in the mail! My son got a teddy bear all suited up in an army outfit, and I got four sheets of stickers, pictures, a coffee cup and some hot sauce. She knows me so well!! :) The only thing with my hot sauce collection is that we use them all. Tee hee. Both Love and I use lots of hot sauce and love it.

I have started to make my first mini album and am very excited about it thou the glitter I applied to part of it yesterday did not make me super happy. :( Turned out looking more green than the white that it was in the bottle. I'll take a better picture of it when I become more sure and proud of it again.

Also on Monday I will be getting this in the mail because the last time Love sat in the car and I ran into JoAnns I picked up a Crop-A-Dile and am super happy about it but have realized its a little too clunky to have laying around on my desk and want a place for it. So into the case it will go. I love that it has the two punches and the eyelet setter all in it. Now I can get rid of the cheap hole punches I have sitting around and the little plastic piece broke off of (seriously that is beyond annoying).

But today I am just now drinking my coffee having spend the whole morning and noon with my son and am going to start to make a Halloween card make and take for when my cousin from northern Pa here comes down. When I got my Cricut Expression 2 in the mail and we got moved into our new house I gave my pink Cricut Expression to her and I'm so happy that she has one now too! Just like she gives me incredible ideas for crocheting, now we can trade ideas for paper crafting stuff too! So excited.
Hope everyone is having an incredible weekend!

Moving is entirely no fun at all!

Well, we have moved to our new house. And all I have to say right now is uuuugh I don't like this moving thing one bit. I would prefer to sit on the chaise and read a book. Well, ok... I can't say I did too much. The movers picked everything up and they are moving things out of the pods into the house. But packing and unpacking is not my idea of fun. I mostly have the house unpacked and now I have no office but one of my amazing relatives might be able to make me a desk that fits into my bedroom and I can work easily from that.
Most of all I am happy that I am back in Pa and I have my chaise and my scrapbooking stuff back. Can you imagine, I spent an hour last night sorting stickers? Lols. I haven't even crocheted since the first night we were here. Too much to get done. But my cousins did come down the day that the movers were moving everything in and helped watch my son and when the movers left they helped to unpack. I am blessed to have a good family. Last night I put pictures on the walls and it made it feel even more like home. Next looking for a kitty, but no rush on that one. I want to find the one that is meant for me and my family. So shelter online hunting I go at night when I need something to look at when I can't sleep and want to smile and look at all the cuties.
My Love took me and my son and his son to see Transformers 3 yesterday. It was really good but super long. Thank goodness we all made through it well. I am very glad my little red head likes going to the movies. Only confirmed that he indeed is my son. (yes, sometimes in this terrible 2-3 I sometimes wonder where my sweet son went) ... hmmmm, what else have I been doing? Not much, just unpacking. I do know that when I get out all of my scrapbooking stuff I am going to cut out some birds to go on my vanity mirror because I think it would make the space look cool. I have a small vanity built into the master bedroom and I think who ever the contractor was who thought up that and put a huge closet behind it understood his wife/ girlfriend. I'd like to meet him and hug him.

^  my new sign in the kitchen. I love lattes and the fact that the sign was a dollar didn't help either!
Happy Fourth everyone, this is the first year that I get to show my son sparklers, this should be interesting for sure. Be safe and have lots of fun!!

A belly ache and shopping adventure

Yesterday we got back from a little three day trip with my Love and it was nice to be in a hotel and just lay around if we didn't want to do anything. And we went out to dinner and saw Thor in 3D. There was major thunderstorms going on with heavy rain so bad it was hard to see the road in front of you on the way down. We got there safe thou and relaxed and got to be with one another and relax. ( I asked to go to Joann fabrics but he laughed at me, tee hee )
But today didn't start out so good with me having a headache, then a belly ache, and my two year old going from one thing to another and making me want to rip out my hair in chunks. But somehow I got through.- But not before I went to wallyworld for the pepto tabs and you know I had to go into the scrapbooking section to see if there was something new. Today might have ended up with me having some chewy pepto tabs, some chocolate Haagen-Dazs and cutting paper for the thank you cards that I am making to sell. I think I will be ok after all.
There wasn't anything new but they were having a really nice sale on some old stock and I got the above pictured things for waaaaay cheaper than I regularly would have gotten them for. I was really looking for the new Love You A Latte lite cartridge but it wasn't to be found there. And the one that I just got was my first lite cartridge. I like that it wasn't eighty bucks and that they have started to carry them at Walmart. Makes my life a little easier when I want to find something to make on the fly, especially for a holiday or something. Can't wait to show you the other things I have to put up on here, but for tonight and my first post I think that will be ok. :)
I hope everyone else is having a nice and relaxing night!
